Current research is beginning to validate what most clients already know about massage therapy; it can help ease or prevent many common ailments that are often treated with prescription drugs and/or hospitalisation.  Massage therapy is based on the ability of the body to naturally heal itself.

Sports Remedial Massage

Despite its name Sports Massage is for both sports persons and non-sports persons alike.  My treatments work on improving the quality of the soft tissue within the body.

The blood supply is increased, releasing tension, flushing through lactic acid and re-aligning scar tissue.  I work to redress imbalances built up through everyday activities, allowing my patients greater freedom of movement and consequently, better  quality of life.

Numerous techniques are used throughout my treatments to ensure the best results are achieved with the minimum of discomfort.

Holistic Swedish Massage

A part or full body massage of medium pressure.  One of the primary goals of this treatment is to relax the entire body.  Using long gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart, swedish massage therapy is exceptionally beneficial for increasing levels of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle tension and toxins, improving circulation, increasing serotonin levels, improving muscle tone and promoting total mind and body relaxation.

Indian Head Massage

Based on the Ayurvedic system of healing its aim is to release stress in tissues, muscles and joints in the head, neck, shoulders and face.

A deeply calming, relaxing and heady experience leaving you feeling energised and revitalised.  Good for tension, fatigue, insomnia, headaches and migraines.

Hot Stones Massage

The volcanic basalt stones are heated in a special oven where they are maintained at a therapeutic temperature.  Warm oil is massaged into your skin, followed by massage using the hot stones.  The heat from the stones and my massage skills result in deep penetration into the muscles thus enhancing the therapeutic effects of relieving aches and pains and inducing complete relaxation.

Benefits include:

  • Relaxes tense muscles
  • Can help alleviate aches and pains
  • Promotes deep relaxation
  • Improves blood and lymphatic circulation
  • Provides relief from pain associated with fibromyalgia, arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome and other chronic conditions

Pre and Post-Natal Massage

A gentle massage geared to relieving the muscle cramps, spasms and pain often encounter in the lower back, neck, hips and legs during pregnancy.  It reduces stress and decreases swelling in expectant mothers and new mothers.

Pre and post-natal massage has been practiced for thousands of years, to support mothers physically, mentally and spiritually through the challenges of child birth.

This treatment is not available in the 1st trimester.

Hopi Ear Candles

(Thermal Aricular Therapy)

Hopi ear candling is an ancient, mild and natural therapy which has been used by the Native American Indians for many years.  The hopi candle is not a candle as such, but a hollow tube made out of cotton flax.  To stiffen the flax they are impregnanted with extracts of honey, chamomile, sage and St Johns wort.

The treatment is a pleasant and non-invasive treatment of the ears, allowing you to feel calm, completely relaxed and rebalanced.  This 40minute treatment includes a mini scalp and facial pressure point massage.

  • Irritation in the ear
  • Sinusitis
